Technology Center of DuPage Information / Requirements for Dual Credit, Articulated Credit, or Dual Enrollment

Automotive

Reading Compass scores of 70 required by January and COD final exam.
Student must attend both years of the program to get credit.

Early Childhood

Students must complete COD final exam.

Cosmetology

If they are dropped during the year for grades and they complete the Phase 1 final with a passing grade they can get articulated credit.

Fire Science/EMT and Certified Nurse Assistant

Reading Compass scores of 70 and Writing Score of 4 required by January.

Payment / Fees	There is no fee.	There is no fee.	Fees vary depending upon tuition and other resources that are required for the class such as books or kit fees.
Where do students attend?	Students earn dual credit in their Technology Center of DuPage class.	Students earn articulated credit in their Technology Center of DuPage class.	Students attend classes at College of DuPage Addison Center (located in the TCD building).
How is the credit generated?	Both high school credit and college credit are generated through the TCD class and appear on the student's transcript.	The students must attend the College of DuPage or the college that the articulated credit is with in order to receive the credit.	The student attends the College of DuPage class at the Addison Center (located in the TCD building) and generates a transcript from the College of DuPage.
How do students sign up?	Students sigh up by the designated deadline in their Technology Center of DuPage class. They will need their Social Security number.	Students fill out an articulation form after they graduate and have enrolled in the specific college. They must request a copy of their transcript from the Technology Center of DuPage.	Students contact the College of DuPage to sign up for this course, however they may receive the flyer about the course from their Technology Center of DuPage instructor.
Will I need to take a test in order to earn the credit?	For certain programs, taking and passing the Compass reading and math placement test is needed.	No	For certain programs, taking and passing the Compass reading and math placement test is needed.
