TCD offers Career Acceleration Programs available to juniors and seniors in the DuPage County area.
College-bound or not, high school graduates will enter the most competitive job market in the world. Recognizing these challenges, schools, teachers and employers nationwide are engaged in a new spirit of cooperation to help students acquire basic literacy and computational skills, thinking skills, and such core competencies as the ability to manage resources and master a variety of technologies.
Technology Center of DuPage's Career Acceleration Programs are innovative products of this reality-based approach to education, allowing DuPage high school students to benefit from advanced studies before graduation. Tuition is paid through tax dollars; some require a modest program fee. Typically offered half days, Technology Center of DuPage programs usually replace study hall or elective courses but never interfere with academic requirements for high school graduation. All courses are held at the Technology Center of DuPage in Addison, Illinois, with transportation provided by your high school. Some programs qualify for college credit. Many of the programs provide hands-on training at local businesses, which often leads to employment opportunities.
