    Resignations and Retirement

    Please refer to the current Negotiated Agreement and Contract Between the Board of Directors of the DuPage Occupational Education System and the DAVEA Education Association.

    For those employees not covered by this Agreement:

    Tenured teachers may resign at any time with consent of the Board or by written notice sent to the Board Secretary at least 30 days before the intended date of resignation. No teacher may resign during the school term in order to accept another teaching position without the consent of the Board.

    The Board of Directors shall require liquidated damages from contractual employees who resign prior to the conclusion of their current contract. A clause specifying the amount of such liquidated damages shall be included in each certificated contractual employee's contract.
