6:120 Education of Children with Disabilities

Special Needs Students (Technology Center of DuPage)

The Technology Center of DuPage is dedicated to providing a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment to all children with disabilities enrolled at TCD. In order to meet the needs of all students, all partner schools are required to provide TCD with a copy of the IBP and 504 plan of any student before the student is enrolled at the school.

All partner schools are responsible for providing appropriate support, including related services, for their special education students enrolled at the Technology Center of DuPage as required in each student's IEP and need to work collaboratively with TCD staff to implement each student's IBP and/or 504 plan. This means the student's home district is responsible for providing required supports, such as one-on-one aides, adaptive technology, and any other supports or services required by the IEP/504 plan during times the student is at TCD.

The Director will create administrative procedures regarding the collection, storing and use of IEP and 504 documentation in order to comply with State and federal confidentiality requirements.
