February 2025 Students of the Month

Robin Hernandez has been named a Student of the Month for February.  Robin is a junior at Elmwood Park High School and a student in TCD’s Manufacturing, CNC, and Machining Technology program.

In his nomination, Mr. Marin-Garcia, TCD’s Manufacturing, CNC, and Machining Technology instructor, stated, “Robin’s dedication is evident through consistent punctuality, always arriving on time, and being ready to engage. Robin communicates effectively, articulating thoughts clearly, and encouraging discussions among their peers.

Robin actively participates in all class activities, showing a willingness to collaborate and share insights. Moreover, Robin has a deep understanding of the material presented, often demonstrating critical thinking and a desire to delve deeper into topics.

Robin has quickly gained proficiency in using AutoCAD Inventor, mastering its various tools and features for 3D design and modeling. Additionally, Robin has become skilled in operating a manual milling machine, effectively translating digital designs into precise physical components.”

Nathan Reiter has been named a Student of the Month for February.  Nathan is a senior at Glenbard East High School and a student in TCD’s Auto Body Repair & Refinishing program.

In their nomination Auto Body teachers Messrs. Frausto and Holloway stated, “Nathan has been rolling thru his I-Car training and is a very engaged student. He takes direction in the lab professionally. He helps other students in the lab and is always the first to clean up. He takes it upon himself to double check that the group he is working with have safety glasses and PPE on. He is a leader out in the lab and a great help in the class. Always the last to leave. We are very proud of him.”
