Congratulations, Kyle!
Ibrahim Qasim has been named a student of the month for May. Ibrahim is a senior from Glenbard South High School and a student in our Robotics program.
In his nomination Mr. Siddiqui, robotics instructor, wrote: “Ibrahim is a passionate student with a positive attitude and willingness to always help out. He is very persistent when it comes to finishing his projects. For example, recently, he trained an Ai model to recognize a person using a small-sized computer, a Raspberry Pi, and a camera. It took him many days to figure out the coding part and how to train Ai models, which was very challenging but he kept trying. I saw him struggle a bit in the beginning but with his determination, he was able to achieve it. Now his Ai model can detect him when he walks in front of it. Lastly, he has a polite demeaner and get along with all his classmates and is good at working in teams when assigned a group project.”
Congratulations, Ibrahim!
