Chef Barker joined Technology Center of DuPage in 2000. Chef Barker enjoys sharing his industry experiences with his students. Before teaching at TCD, he worked in may aspects of the industry at Motorola Corporate Dining and Wyndham Hotels. Chef Barker has an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Elgin Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Northwood University, and a Professional Educator License from Illinois State University. He has also worked as an adjunct instructor at College of DuPage and Elgin Community College. Chef Barker is also a past recipient of The American Culinary Federation medals and awards for culinary competitions.
