Doug Schlachter has been in the automotive industry for over 25 years now. This is Mr. Schlachter’s 10th year as an automotive instructor at Technology Center of DuPage.  In the past, he focused on engine design and engine performance/diagnostics. Today, he is instructing the second year students, which is comprised of: refreshing students on what they learned during their first year at TCD, introducing them to advanced components of the automotive industry, and preparing them for further education in automotive technology for them to pursue a career in the automotive industry.  Mr. Schlachter is also the Skills USA representative for TCD ,which allows students the opportunity to compete in regional, state, and national competitions based on their program of study.
