Program Description

1 or 2 Year Program

The CNC Manufacturing program prepares students for careers and post-secondary education in advanced manufacturing through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on machining experience, and industry-focused training. Students learn precision manufacturing techniques while working with industry-standard equipment, software, and production processes in a modern lab environment. The curriculum covers manual machining, CNC machine operation, programming, technical drawing interpretation, CAD/CAM design, precision measurement, quality control, and manufacturing safety. Students gain experience using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and inspection equipment while developing skills with Autodesk Inventor, Mastercam, Haas CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, manual mills, engine lathes, and surface grinders. Performance is evaluated through written assessments, practical machining projects, technical accuracy, safety, professional behavior, attendance, and employability skills. Throughout the program, students develop technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, communication, precision, and adaptability while learning the principles of modern manufacturing. The program prepares students for internships, apprenticeships, employment, or continued education in CNC machining, engineering, manufacturing technology, and related advanced manufacturing fields.
