Course Description
Construction Trades is a course in which students will learn skills and knowledge related to residential and commercial construction. Students will address a broad range of topics (see Course Units of Study) relevant to a challenging and constantly changing industry. The construction course content will prepare the student for entry level employment or continue their education in a post secondary program.Job Outlook
With the growth of new construction and remodeling employment projections for carpenters is expected to grow 20 percent from 2010-2020.Course Outcomes

Instructional Methods
The program takes place in a comprehensive classroom and lab where the student will learn to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures. The course consist of lectures, text book reading, power points, videos, test, quizzes, computer work, and daily lab assignments.
