Today we hosted our final Explore Day of the school year, welcoming students from Fenton, Lisle, Hinsdale Central, Hinsdale South, Lyons Township North, Lyons Township South, Naperville North, Naperville Central, Lake Park West, Lake Park East, and Glenbard South. Students participated in hands-on sessions across three program areas of their choice, engaging directly with our instructors and current TCD students to learn more about the career pathways available to them.

A special thank you to Michelle Miklinski for coordinating the event. We are grateful to all staff and student ambassadors who helped make our Explore Days successful throughout this school year.

We now look ahead to our Open House on January 15th, from 6:30–8:00 PM, open to all prospective students and their families who would like to learn more about TCD’s programs and opportunities.

Today, students had the opportunity to explore careers and colleges that connect to their post-secondary interests. With over 80 presenters participating, students moved throughout the building to attend multiple sessions with many engaging in four to six presentations where they asked questions, learned from industry professionals, and gained valuable insight into potential future pathways. The connections they made today will help guide them as they plan their next steps beyond TCD.

We will also be hosting Office Hours, where you can come and ask any questions you may have about what TCD has to offer. The College of DuPage is offering a summer jumpstart program for current juniors. The courses will be discounted and you will be able to complete up to 12 credit hours. For more details, go to their website or scan the QR code.

TCD is looking for substitute teachers. If you have at least 60 college credit hours, you can apply for a short term substitute license. We pay more than most schools in the area, and our students and staff are a blast to work with. Come work with our team!
